Welcome
Howdy, and welcome to the ranch!
Happy Ranch Pool is a 16' x 40' oasis of floaty goodness on two acres near Happy Valley, about 20 minutes from Portland. We keep the saltwater pool "warmer than most" at right around 90°, so it feels good right away. No waiting to "get used to it."
We are a family of five that loves the outdoors (and Lego, indoors). These days as you arrive, you'll find a few friendly goats, a handful of sheep and way too many chickens chatting you up at the fence and begging for apples and scratches. We hope you and your family love it here as much as we do.
Arrival & Parking
Getting here
Your address, directions and entry details come through the Swimply app after booking. We keep them off this page for our family's privacy and safety. Thanks for understanding!
- Parking. Separate driveway and parking area for Swimply guests for up to 12 vehicles, with additional free street parking available. Can accommodate up to 30 vehicles with host coordination. Just message us ahead of time.
- Timing. Your swim time is the window on your Swimply booking. The 2-hour weekend minimum tends to go quickly!
- Say hi. Your host may greet you when you arrive.

Swim diapers for kids 3 & under
Required. You'll be asked to leave with no refunds if your child is in the water without one. Encourage frequent bathroom breaks.
Everyone signs the waiver
All guests must read the rules and sign the waiver of liability. You must be 21 or older to book.

- Visiting the animals at the fence
- Smoking is okay. Please be responsible: keep it away from the pool and other guests, and use an ashtray or take your butts with you.
Please don't
- No diving
- No loud music (including sound systems, bands, etc.)
- No pets
- No intoxication or illicit drug use
- Don't open farm gates or enter the animal pasture without the property owner. The animals WILL escape. 😂
- And please don't pee in, or drink, the pool water 😄
Heads up: Due to nearby natural & native plants, combined with salt and minerals in the water, there may be bees near the pool.

The water
- Saltwater pool, 16' x 40', 1 ft to 7 ft deep, heated to about 90°
- Shallow wading ledge (12" deep) for the young'uns, plus a tanning edge
- Deep end 5'–7' with a jump rock for hours of cannonballs
- Hot tub: large inset saltwater hot tub seats 8, heated to 104° unless requested to be lower
- Pool basketball hoop & pool toys

- Heated 10x15 clubhouse, perfect for setting up snacks & drinks
- Mini-fridge, mini-freezer, sink & counter
- Sparkling clean private restroom just steps from the pool

Extra-warm pool
Extra heat turns the pool into a warm soaking pool: 92–94° instead of 90°. Two hours advance notice required. Not necessary in summer :)

30 min setup time
If the schedule permits, arrive 30 mins early to set up. Not swim time (water is filtering/balancing, the hot tub is refilling and reheating).

30 min cleanup time
Up to five guests stay on property (no swimming) to pack up while we sanitize and reset the water. Great for larger parties. If available.
Also available: a 6' gate leg table for snacks & drinks ($2), and one or two extra guests ($10/hr or $20/hr) for groups of 6 or 11 / 7 or 12, so you don't have to jump to the next pricing tier.
What to Bring
Pack the beach bag
The pool house has a mini-fridge and freezer, so bring your favorite snacks and drinks and make yourselves at home.
- Your own towels. Towels are not provided, so bring one for everyone!
- Swimsuits & sunglasses
- Sunscreen, ideally put on before you arrive (or let it dry a bit before jumping in)
- Flotation devices for little ones (recommended)
- Your phone & playlist for the speaker
